Delightful Daisies Get Well

For the At Joan's Gardens Challenge this week (polka dots, vellum and butterflies), I created a card that was dry-embossed and inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink.  The folder is my favorite 3d M-Bossabilities, Delightful Daisies E3D-003, trimmed to A5 size and spritzed with Champagne Shine.  The embossed butterfly is topped with a Vellum S4-395 Les Pappillions Two butterfly filigree.  The stems and leaves (and the petals of the embossed card are worked with Glaze pens for accent.  the polka dots are on the ribbon and the lady bug,  Get well sentiment is a Starform sticker. The dies, inks, M-Bossabilities, and vellum are all available at Joan's Garden.  Looks very busy--doesn't it--but it is not.  It is dramatic and very elegant!

Butterfly Thoughts

This week the challenge At Joan's Gardens is a card (any color scheme) using polka dots, butterflies and vellum.  For this card I used The M-Bossabilities large embossing folder by Spellbinders (EG-002) that I ran through the electric Craftwell E Bosser machine  (both available at Joan's Gardens).  The Butterflies are Spellbinders Les Papillions Two (S4-395)  and the Vellum wings and pearl vellum used on the butterflies wings are from Sweet Stamps and sold at Joans Gardens. The doilies are from Walmart, shimmer misted with champagne mister by SU and the pearls are also SU .  Polka dots, butterfly wings and the edges of the doily are finished with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The Thinking of You sentiment is a Starform Sticker.

Tropical Birthday

This card is created for the At Joan's Gardens challenge this week which is to use a plaid background, an embossing folder, dimensionals to create a Birthday Card.   I have used Starform transparent glitter stickers (#390) for the birthday sentiment and holographic edge accents on the card.  I used an Emagination punch for the edges of the flip-it card.  That die template is available at Joan's Gardens and is called the Rectangle Flip It (658704) by Sizzix. The dimensionals are from a 7 piece collection by EK Success in the Jolee's Boutique stick-ons (Michaels). The embossing folder on coordinating shimmer paper is the happy birthday word background embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  The paper is Pinecone Press Papers Plaid.  Leaf accents on the front of the card are from a Sizzlit (SU) Little Leaves.

Birthday Wishes

This card is created for this week's challenge AT JOAN's GARDENS where the challenge is to use plaid paper for a background, an embossing folder, and something dimensional and to create a birthday card for a friend.
For this card I  used a piece of plaid paper by Colorbok matted with coordinating burgundy cardstock.  The dimensional square of pale yellow plain and decorator paper is topped with a large fiber-paper flower, and centered with a flower I made from the PunchBunch petals punch available at Joans Gardens.  The center of the flower also from a punch, and that is topped with stamens that I got from Wild Orchid crafts, and a touch of Platinum Stickles.  The Happy  Birthday sentiment stamp is from Just Rite Crafts Large Fancy Stampset CR 03815 available at Joan's Gardens. The Corner punch squiggle is a Fiskars Lace corner punch (altered). The burgundy mat for the Happy  Birthday sentiment area is embossed with Textured Impressions (Sizzix --SU) Chevron embossing folder and the pearls are colored with markers to match the large paper flower.

Floral Thank You

This card is created for the "anything-goes" challenge at Joan's Gardens, where we are to create a card for someone special. Mine is for a special lady.
I made this one beginning with two-sided textured decorator paper by K&Company, with the card design inspired by the gate-fold card shared on pp 18 and 19  in this month's Papers and Pixels Magazine--techniques by Meg Loven in a gate-fold buckle card.  I didn't catch the front with a banner as she did, rather a riveted scalloped punch sentiment by SU inked in Kaleidaacolor Cappuccino Delight ink.  The flowers are from various sources, but the  main mulberry paper flower came from  Wild Orchid Crafts and others are from I Am Roses .   The design is heavily spritzed with gold Tsukinko Shimmer.  The flowers lie on top of part of the Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose leaves stamp and die-set.  The green flourish and corner decoration are die cut from Victorian Romance Flourish (DL151) by Cheery Lynn Designs sold at Joan's Gardens.

The Tide Will Turn

This trimmed gate-fold card is created for the anything-goes challenge at Joan's Gardens this week,--a card for someone special in your life (focus maybe on men, boys, masculine). For this card I used a Close to my Heart Stampset called Perfect Day, and embossed black ink following a SplitCoastStampers tutorial by Jen Shultz called Distress Marker Coloring.  This card is created on watercolor paper and uses Tim Holtz Distress Markers collection available at Joan's Gardens (so is the black embossing powder).  I used Versafine -fine detail archival ink by Tsukineko to stamp the images, and the design was inspired by a similar Lighthouse stampset that Joan carries by Try Fold (Art Impressions).  Inside the first fold is a Fancy Tags stamped "ticket" (CL02080) from a  Just Right Cling Set available at Joans. The other sentiment reads: "Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.  (Harriet Beecher Stowe).

Butterfly Birthdays

The At Joan's Gardens Challenge this week is a (mostly) pink and black card with embossed background and ovals.  The background is embossed with Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (a SU product), and accented with rectangular and square rhinestones (Recollections-Michaels).   I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals (Spellbinders S4-113) for the pink and black matting available at Joan's Gardens, which has an holographic sticker by Starform #390 Transparent Glitter Sticker (from pop-ups etc)  The butterfly and background are sponged with pink ink, and the butterfly is embellished with Stickles Star Dust by  Ranger, also available from Joan..The Swallowtail butterfly is a Stampin UP Stamp that is heat-embossed with glossy black embossing powder.

Just Because

This week's challenge At Joan's Gardens is a pink, white and black card that uses ovals and an embossed background.  I used a Cuttlebug bubbles embossing folder for texture on the white cardstock. The decorator paper is from my stash (from a 4x6 paper pad block of glitter paper that the cover has come off of, so I don't know the manufacturer).  The sentiment stamp is by Just Right Stamps CR03815.  The oval die cut and the pink "buckle" is from the S5-161 set by Spellbinders called Majestic Elements Radiant Rectangles (There are 20 possible designs in this wonderful set of dies, available at Joan's Gardens.) The edge trim is silver and black glitter sticker-lines by Starform. (#1004).

Dolled Up Daisy

This gate-fold card is embossed with Sizzix 658285  Textured Impressions embossing folder "Dots Set."  I've used copics and Tim Hotz Distress Markers to color little Dolled Up Miss Daisy from the Flower Power collection by Wendy Hall.  The Butterflies are SU Embosslits, Beautiful Wings, and the white and gold ringed edge detail and Best Wishes sentiment are by Starform available at Pop Ups Etc. The oval and matting were cut from Lifestyle Crafts oval dies. The little rhinestone centered white flowers are commercial. I used Sakura's Glaze pens on the daisy on her hat.
