Heartland Oval Frame_Memory Box

Cut from  diamond glitter paper and adhered with scortape embossing technique.  Easy beautiful, and OH the possibilities with this single die.  Paper is Night of Navy and  Ribbon is glitter  ribbon from Michaels. Sentiment will be white on glitter "banner type" greeting adhered to ribbon.  This is the Heartland Oval Frame by Memory Box (#1161) This die is only 3" high so could be used twice very effectively on a single card.

There are NO fingermarks on this card at all but the photo picked up smudges that are just not there!

And this one also uses the SU thinlits label card I love you die, double cut --and all matted on hot pink and pop of pink DP (SU) For  Anniversary card

Memory Box Butterfly Swell

This card was challenging to create, but it is so beautiful.  I can't wait to send it.

I cut the Butterfly Swell die, new from Memory Box (#9971) three times, once in white glitter paper (top butterfly fussy cut), once through a mat which was a very pale blue paper,  "smooshed" with  SU sky blue ink and dried.  I cut the butterfly swell again through the front of Pacific Point cardstock and then lined up the pale blue layer with the cutout and adhered it. (Ranger multi-media). And the "there's a bit of magic in everything"quotation is stamped in Pacific Point ink.

Then I adhered the back of the "front" of the card to clear acrylic coverstock  for stability..  I inked  "fairy dust" from Su's A little bit of Magic stampset on the inside of the card through the center window and lined up dark blue/green glimmering holographic butterflies to match the front of the card on the inside.

I will probably use a vertical sentiment inside the card and emboss it in white--from one of the Lawn Fawn script sentiments sets (when I know the occasion that this greeting will be for.)

The backside of the card is Impression Obsession Happiness Butterfly (D14201) stamped in Pacific Point ink.

Detail

This card uses the Daningt Fairy (by Poppy Stamps) diecut with the Butterfly Swell on lavender with lavender ink "smooshed,"  Accents are with glimmer paper and Wink of  Stella and glitter inside the wing of the butterflies..

Clover Shamrock Pixie Elf_ Aurora Wings

This adorable pixie (with freckles) is thinking about you and wishing you luck. She's colored in Prismacolor Pencils, with the centers of the shamrocks and four leaf clovers touched with gold glitter and edged with paper piercing.   The stamp is a Lawn Fawn sentiment stamp and the satin double bow is created with a bow-it-all.  I made this card for the March  "Green" Facebook Challenge

Baby Daisy by Trina Clark Walker

Baby Daisy is one of the new digi-stamps in Trina's new Bizzy Hands Creations Store.   She is mighty cute, and colored with Prismacolor Pencils, and accented Stickles, Wink of Stella, a bow and a thank you stamp from the SY Lots of Stamps set.   She's perfect for a get well card for a friend having shoulder surgery on March 30th.

Inside Sentiment

Aurora Wings Easter Elf_Challenge 46

Challenge 46 is a bisected sketch challenge with vertical and circular elements.  I chose to use the new adorable Spring Sprite for this 5x7 card.  I used a textured embossing folder "weathered" (by Taylored Expressions)  and a gold butterfly woven ribbon to suggest the two vertical lines. Scalloped circles diecut the artpiece and sentiment (Lifestyle Crafts scalloped circles) placed over a delicate circular doily. This Spring Sprite is too late for the Sprite challenge--and I'm sorry to miss that one since I love all the Sprite collection and use them often.   The Easter greeting (stamp from Lawn Fawn) is overlaid with a (pencilled) vellum horizontal line (to comply with the sketch challenge).  The tiny accenting butterflies are from SU Beautiful Wings embosslits, pencilled and accented.  The artpiece is accented with 3D crystal Glaze, gold and white glaze pens and white Posca pen. As always my work is done with Prismacolor Pencils.

SU paper and inking colors are Bermuda Bay and So Saffron

Green & Sketch Challenge_Aurora Wings and the Pineapple Sprite

I created this card using the Pineapple Sprite by Mitzi Sato Wiuff available in her stores.  The sprite is worked with Prismacolor Pencils, Wink of Stella in various colors and glaze pens in green and yellow.  The leaves are from Botanical Bloom stamp and die set by  SU and the designer paper circles are from the coordinating  Botanical Bloom paper.  This card is created for both the March "Green" challenge on Facebook and the Sketch Challenge at Aurora Wings

 Detail of the sprite above.

For centuries the Pineapple has been recognized as a traditional expression hospitality and welcome throughout the world. This fruit symbolizes warmth, welcome, friendship and hospitality, and in the Southern US, you will see the pineapple everywhere.

The fruit holds the strong antioxident, Vitamin C.  It is a Bromelian thought to combat the formation of certain cancer cells.   It is very acidic, so if you are cutting up very much pineapple, you should wear gloves.  Try placing fresh pineapple spears in a bath of Creme de Menthe!  Oh--La-La
The principal pollinator of the pineapple's beautiful flower is a hummingbird.  Seed formation needs pollination, but the presence of seeds harms the quality of the fruit. In Hawaii where pineapple is grown on an agricultural scale, importation of hummers is prohibited for this reason.

Perfect Pearls Shimmer

This card was inspired by a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire for Pearlized  Stamp Layering with Altenew stamps.  I used the small rose from AlteNew's Vintage Flower set.  I have found this to be a very difficult stampset to work with, so was pleased when it turned out the way it did.   The Perfect Pearls are a Ranger product and I used the basic white pearl powder.  The paper and ink is Dapper Denim by SU, and Versamark and ribbons and Posca White pen finish the card.  The technique is difficult, and it is important to remove any powder that gets "outside" the versamark when you stamp the first layer, and then to apply a fixative when it is complete.  The matte was created with the  Dapper Denim ink sponged through a Tim Holtz stencil "Speckles" in the MI-THS-504 set.  The finished shimmer is gorgeous, but does not show up well in the photograph. The Thank you is from Fancy Sentiments stampset by Just Rite Stamps.

Believe in Magic

For All who love the Faeries
And wish to know their mirth
Their whimsy and their wisdom
First, you must love the Earth

While angels roam the heavens
Amongst the mysteries
Fleet faeries fly with hummingbirds
'Midst daffodils and trees

Celestial Accompaniment
Is strummed on harps or lyres
But faeries' dance in glade or glen
The robin's song inspires

Believe in Magic.......And Believe in the beauty of your dreams.  This gorgeous card is created with the Wildflower Corner by Memory Box (98895) and Posing Fairy by Poppy Stamps (1775).These elements are over a very lightly embossed Tim Holtz fading bubbles EF Black and Clear Wink of Stella and pearls finish this striking black and white card.

This card is worked on 100# watercolor paper using silver spritzed wet Color Burst powder  and cling wrap. (I failed to let the paper dry for two hours before I removed the clingwarp---important not to overlook that step!  These fairies have vellum wings and are the Thoughtful Faerie (1783) and the Dancing Faerie (1768 by Poppy Stamps.  The little flowers are by Recollections, and the sentiment is by Tracy Wray, touched with ribbon and Enamel Accents by Tim Holtz.

This card adds one of the gorgeous Tim Holtz Wildflower Sizzix dies to the fairies, with punched little butterflies and a sentiment stamp that says  "Butterfly Kisses and Fairy Wishes"

I made this CD album  for Patsy's  birthday.  We had SUCH a wonderful weekend, and the project was so much fun to make for  her with pictures of the weekend and with Karen Schulz Spring A Ling kit.

The quotation on the photo of Buck and Stogey and Spike reads:
"When you start looking at peoples hearts and not their face, things become clear"

The fairy in the poppy is a graphic from Whimsey Stamps, Fairy  Dreams.

Thank you--in Split Colors

This is a beautiful split color card, inspired by Jennifer McGuire found in one of her UTube tutorials.  I used a combination of Copics and pencils to color the Stampendous CSDO4 (a beautiful die and stamp set.) The sentiment is heat embossed and from the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings  (LF844) stampset.

Here's the opposing cut for the split colors.

These cards are created with the         W Plus 9 stampset: Kind  Soul.  What a beautiful floral and pretty sentiment stamps to play with.  These really are 2 for 1 cards, snd so much fun to do.

The Crocus Sprite

The Crocus Sprite is created using Prismacolor pencils, wink of stella, organza ribbon, White poca pen, Sticles and Enamel dots. The  sentiment stamp is designed by Tracy Wray.  She's entered Feb-March Aurora  Wings Challenge #44  Anything Goes.

Irises and Crocuses---Sure Signs of Spring

This is another of Mitzi Sato Wiuff's ever too whimsical Sprite flower fairy series called Bearded Iris Sprite.  She's done in Prismacolor Pencils, Wink of Stella, GellyRoll crystal star, and Recollections trim tape ribbon (adhesive trim).  Adhered over soft blue and Hello Honey (lightly embossed with Tim Holtz Damask EF) The die I used was Spellbinders Labels 20, (S5-026).  The birthday sentiment stamp is SU.

The Crocus Sprite is also created using Prismacolor pencils (etc) and a sentiment stamp designed by Tracy Wray.  Her papers and sentiment sheets (and a VERY CUTE product line) can be found at Whimsey Stamps.   These are both entered in the Feb-March Aurora  Wings Challenge #44  Anything Goes.
